“As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; The rain also covers it with pool” [Psalm 84:6]

The valley of ‘Baca’ meaning weeping, it is a place of disappointment.   Disappointment is inevitable in every life, but don’t stay there pass through!  In the days ahead these disappointments will become the moments that memory will recall—you went from strength to strength.  Disappointment is either a danger or development in the valley, but you make the call, you choose danger of destruction or development of strength!

To ‘go’ from strength to strength is full of action!  Don’t sit still, don’t let disappointment lead to depression, but delight yourself in the Lord, “Each one appears before God in Zion”.  There’s always a new day dawning.

Make the place of disappointment a place of refreshing, choose to make it a ‘spring’—Paul said, “We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be on God and not of us…

We are…pressed…crushed…persecuted…struck down…but not forsaken…not destroyed…” [2 Corinthians 4:7-9]

In your valley there will be enough rain to make a pool—a pool is deep enough to swim in.  Don’t let your disappointment drown you, rather let your disappointment drive you to drink until you are drunk in the rain of the Holy Spirit.  “If anyone thirsts let him come unto me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”  [John 7:37]
