”…May it be to me as you have said…” [Luke 1:38]
We live in the age of miracles! But the key is a willingness to trust.
In this western world of scientific breakthrough having all the information has clogged up our ability to receive revelation—without which walking in trust is impossible! Growth is at best stunted since spiritual perception is by definition revelation.”Upon this rock [revelation] I will build [grow] my church…” [Matthew 16:18]
In Mary’s story her information and logical thinking made the present circumstances totally impossible—but the power of heaven is known beyond man’s logic, it was trust that produced a new reality and caused her to say—may it be to me as you have said! And paved the way for the disciples later to be told, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” [John 2:5]
Revelation is the revealed will of God. It is a term expressing the fact that God has made known to men truths and realities that men could not discover for themselves.
There is but one way to browbeat this world. Dumb-founder doubt, and repay scorn in kind,— To go on trusting, namely, till faith moves Mountains.— [Robert Browning: The Ring and the Book]
You may trust the Lord too little, but you can never trust Him too much—like a cloak against the winters chill walk in trust and do His Will.
