“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” [Isaiah 43:18]
Behold – that means to take ownership and possess the new way of doing things. You have to watch for the ‘new thing’ – stay alert. The ‘norm’ or usual way of doing things have formed a pattern that you ‘fall’ into without thought, we call it a habit and as such, become almost a natural part of who you are, but you are changing along with your lifestyle so stay alert for the different and new. Accept the fact that this new reality of God’s movement is being birthed by the Holy Spirit and every woman knows the birthing process takes only a yielded vessel willing to participate in the birthing process. Keep the doorway of desire and expectancy open; even though you may feel vulnerable it is the passageway to new and wonderful things in God.
It will ‘spring up’! That’s a motion of suddenness and once a new thing appears in the Spirit you know it by the spirit within you. This is not a head knowledge that reasons and reconciles by logic, this is a heart issue moving by the spirit and giving a great sense of ‘knowing’. God is asking a rhetorical question meaning—you shall know it!
